Dog Cakes

I have made a few dog cakes for people, birthdays and adoptions.     Everything is made from scratch and no real frosting was used.    It was quite a challenge to use mash potatoes as a frosting and have it colored and look smooth.    Everyone sent me pictures of their dogs enjoying and sharing their cakes.    I love the challenge and getting it perfect (even if it is just for a dog) was key for me, I know I wouldn't feed my dogs anything that didn't look tasty.   Even with dog treats I make and sell, they are also from scratch and made from things in my pantry, if they don't look good, I don't sell them.    Now my dogs don't care what it looks like, they just want to eat them.    Mine prefer peanut butter but they do like spinach, sweet potato, pumpkin and gingerbread "cookies".     They know when I'm baking for them, but when I bake cookies for us, they think they are for them.
