Sweet Set

I don't know about you but I LOVE vintage pitcher and glass sets.   They look classy and really are the finishing touch to a table setting.   There are so many kinds, shapes and sizes, the one I have is from the 50's era, I haven't used them yet but I do hope to this coming summer, nothing like a lunch or dinner with friends in the gazebo and using my "fancy" pitcher and glasses set.    

 I have attached a picture of a really cute set, Gay Fad Studios, Satinized Apple Ball Jug & 4 Tumblers.  The set is in perfect condition and I just love the look.      Do you have any special pitcher and glasses you use or any kind of glassware?  

Growing up Currier and Ives was very poplar  with my mom and one of her sisters.   They have absolutely EVERYTHING I think they made.   My mom has enough that each of us kids (3 of us)  get a complete set PLUS she has a set she uses for the holidays.   A lot of the depression glass and dishes like C&I was sold in boxes of laundry powder or as giveaways, that is how a lot of people starting using and collecting certain patterns and colors.

I hope if you do have special dinnerware that you get to use it and enjoy it.  Don't forget a pretty tablecloth only adds to the beauty of your table.
